Same Sex Marriage - Stop the Madness!

I was listening to talk radio the other day and a caller from Ontario was speaking about same sex marriage. During her conversation with the talk show host, she spoke a phrase that just stood out!

"You don't redefine others to redefine yourself"

The majority of people including this blogger really don't mind same sex unions. The legislative arms of local, provincial and federal governments have given them the same rights as traditional married couples in regards to sharing/divisions of assets, pensions, spousal support, tax benefits, etc.

We don't want the definition of marriage to be redefined! If we start allowing the redefining of marriage to include two people of the same sex; what is to stop these Liberals from adding many multiple partners to be included into marriage. Why should polygamy be singled out and be illegal when the redefining of marriage can now include two members of the same sex.

Perhaps we should be able to redefine the definition of Prime Minister of Canada. We could now include "moron", "can't seem to recall specific events", "dictator", and perhaps best of all "pork barreller supreme". Well if you have a Prime Minister who has been to the money trough as often as Paul Martin has, it isn't hard to redefine him as a money pig. Oink! Oink!

The same-sex marriage bill (C-38) is about to pass today or tomorrow. The governing Liberals has again restricted debate on this contentious issue. So much for the democratic process which allows for everyone to have an opinion and discuss the issues in great detail.

The Liberals can only get this bill passed through parliament with the help of the New Democratic Party and the Bloc Quebecois.

Let's have a look at Jack Layton's New Democratic Party. They have the unbelievable gall to call themselves democratic when the leader of the party forces everyone to vote his way. There is no such thing as a free democratic vote within this party.

In typical Canadian fashion we have allowed another party called the Bloc Quebecois to become part of a federal government. This is a separatist party that only cares about the province of Quebec but has the power to affect all provinces across Canada with the ridiculous amount of seats it holds in parliament.

I'm a Conservative that has to follow the whims of a minority of Liberals.
